The meeting with the visiting critique went well, I got a lot of wonderful feedback and it really helped me solidify what it was I want to do with this project.

On that note, the project has undergone a few changes. I will likely make this more of a personal project than a branding project for a fictional company. I honestly hadn't realize that was an option until so many of the projects presented to the critic seemed to be exactly that. It was the connection I have been missing this whole time and I really feel excited again.

Day trip!

Today was a day trip to Utrecht to look for the right paper for the books and possibly the cards. I also took a look for anything that could be used for the boxes and found a few interesting choices.

Next up: test prints on the new paper!

Logo

I've been spending all weekend working on the logo, and I'm feeling pretty good so far. Who am I kidding, its bunnies; how could I not feel good?

I have three different variations going so far, all with subtle differences between them along with all of my current color pursuits.

color schemes

This weekend, I have spent most of my time trying to nail down exactly what I want to accomplish with this project, determine what needs to get done.

I've been researching color schemes and styles along with taking a look at rabbit books to get an idea of the content required for my own books. I have found quite a few amazing patterns for rabbit plushies, I will definitely have to make a few of these for myself, and not just for PbtP.

Have a look!

Ready, set....

Pellets by the Pallet is the title of my senior design project. My hope is to use this project to help raise awareness and gather support for animal adoption, with a focus on the adoption of rabbits.

The title for my project stemmed from a joke a few years ago. My friends and I had always joked about my rabbits and how disapproving they were of my every effort to pamper them. It seemed that no matter what I did, there was something I could have done better for those floppy eared rulers of the household. Want some cilantro, tiny bunny? "I'd rather have parsley," they would say as they wiggled their noses.

How about this new toy?

"I suppose, if that is all you have to offer."

Want more timothy pellets?

"Why not a (shipping) pallet full?"

And thus, Pellets by the Pallet was born.
